Background and Education

Irene Zikusooka is a Ugandan female Broadcaster and Film Maker who pioneered female broadcasting while working at the Uganda Broadcasting Coporaqtion (UTV) as a programme Controller during the early to mid 1980's^[1] She has worked in the Broadcasting Industry for the last 30 years. She is the daughter of the Late Rev Canon James Zikusoka and Kekulina Zikusoka. Irene Zikusooka has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Reading University United Kingdom and a Post gradute Diploma in Film and Television Production from the United Sates of America^[2]. Irene Zikusooka is married to Paul Martin Leta.
