Dragan Škorić from Zrenjanin, Serbia, born in 29.07.1954. is a football coach. Former football player, who played for FK Proleter, Zrenjanin, became a professor of physical education when he graduated from the Faculty of sports and physical education at University of Belgrade. Although he worked very successfully as a University Assistant Professor, he chose to follow his heart and opted for the green turf and honed his extraordinary coaching skills on the pitch. He also graduated from the Football Coaching School from University of Belgrade with the highest grade, his written works are still important and valued: GRADUATION PAPER. [1]
As a player - in a span of 8 years - he played over three hundred official league games as a professional for Proleter, and also had appearances in ex ‘big’ Yugoslav Cup Finals... He was also a player (and later a head coach) of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina. During his years as a professional player – and a defenseman at that, he had never ever received a RED card.
Coaching Career
[edit]Dragan has one of the longest and richest football careers in Serbia and in the region. His Professional coaching venues include:
SERBIA; CROATIA; BOSNIA; MONTENEGRO; TAIWAN; ISRAEL; VIETNAM.
Within a few years, Mr. Skoric, as a coach, had climbed from the third division to the Yugoslav premiere league. In the Yugoslav premier league Mr. Skoric coached Mladost from Apatin; Becej from Becej and Proleter from Zrenjanin,Serbia and now known as BANAT FC. Among his second division clubs were Luks, Vrbas, Backa – all from Yugoslavia [Serbia] as Jadran Porec from Croatia. Also, he was an assistant coach of Sloboda Tuzla in the Bosnia-Herzegovina Premier.
