PresentiaFX is a presentation software product created by Plus Two, a digital design agency. The software is primarily aimed at the B2B market enabling companies to control their brand identity[1] across multiple regions and divisions.

PresentiaFX products & features[edit]

Version 6 of the PresentiaFX application is made up of two main elements:

  • A client application written using the Flex framework and deployed on the Adobe AIR runtime. This is an installed application on the users’ computers, and provides an interface to create, manage and share presentations.
  • A server application written in .Net. The server application provides an interface to manage a PresentiaFX corporate account, as well as allowing users to share presentations and providing a backup for recovery purposes. The server application is centrally managed by PresentiaFX and can be accessed by computers with an internet connection. Alternatively, the server application can be developed to enable a company to install it within their own network.

PresentiaFX Editor app[edit]

The PresentiaFX editor app can be installed on PCs or Macs and allows creation, editing and playback of slides. PresentiaFX requires an internet connection for the initial login to verify the license, and then only requires an internet connection once a month check the license is valid.

PresentiaFX allows company administrators (typically marketing personnel) to create roles which determine the functionality available to end users (typically sales personnel). There is also a level assigned to each of the roles which allow the administrator to lock slide content to a particular level in order to restrict a user with a lower level from unlocking and editing it. PresentiaFX users have access to their entire presentation library during play mode and can navigate and search within different presentation folders using an interactive wall view.

PresentiaFX allows the importing of common filetypes such as JPEG, PNG, FLV, MP4, SWF and can link to a Word Doc, Excel doc, PDF, PPT as well as linking to a website URL. It is not possible at the moment to import or export a PowerPoint from PresentiaFX.

PresentiaFX allows users to add 3D/2D transition animations to both slides and objects, the object transitions can be timed depending on the previous transition or alternatively objects can be revealed on mouse-click.

PresentiaFX users can create slides and presentations and then share them online and offline with other PresentiaFX users and/or teams to work collaboratively. PresentiaFX content can be exported as a web presentation which requires an internet connection and Adobe Flash Player to play, the presentation can be password protected and the link can have an expiry date. PresentiaFX content can be exported as a standalone presentation for PCs and Macs and doesn't require any other software or an internet connection to play.

Account usage can be monitored using the cloud-based reporting tool. This secure area gives administrators visibility of the company’s presentation usage statistics, latest logins, latest online presentations, latest packages, most viewed slides and latest offline presentations.

PresentiaFX Player app[edit]

The PresentiaFX tablet player app can be downloaded from the relevant app store and installed on iPad, Android and BlackBerry tablet devices and allows the playback of presentation content that has been sent as a package to the device. The tablet slide share hosted mode allows a user to share their screen with other tablets via Wi-Fi and 3G. The note taking facility enables a user to write and save notes onto a particular slide for review later.
