The samizdat anthology was published in the West as Metropol’. Literaturnyi al’manakh, ed. Vasilii Aksenov et al.. (Ann Arbor: Ardis, 1979). The work later appeared in English as Metropol. Literary almanac (New York: W. W. Norton & Company, Inc., 1982),
