Sardar Azadegan Stadium is a stadium in Qazvin city with a capacity of 15,000 people, built on an area of nearly 70,000 square meters. This stadium is a part of Azadegan sports complex.[2]

History

The construction of this stadium started in 2003 with 10 billion Tomans donated by Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Republic. This stadium was put into operation on July 28, 2011, in the presence of Mohammad Abbasi, Minister of Sports, with a final credit of 19 billion Tomans.[3]

Hosting Persian Gulf League

This stadium is the home field of Qazvin Shams Azar team in the Persian Gulf League of Iran.[4]
