Ttek! elektrotxaranga are a basque music band formed in the summer of 2012. Previous participants of a music group named Makendo got together with some friends who had the intention of creating a music band and they called it Ttek!. They have become a quite famous group in the Basque Country. But, there have been changes in terms of components since they started. As they are an elektrotxaranga, they don´t play on a stage, but they play as they move through the streets of cities and towns. They usually play versions of songs of ska or ska-punk music. Although, they also play versions of some basque folk songs.

Unai Ruiz de Viñaspre, Iñaki Kerejazu and Pablo and Mario Carril were chilhood friends in Vitoria-Gasteiz and with a one year younger friend from the school Olabide called Jon Arrizabalaga, decided to create an elektrotxaranga. They proposed the idea to the participants of the former rock band Makendo because they were all studying in the same school, so Ttek! elektrotxaranga was created giving their first show in July 2012. That summer, they played many times in Vitoria-Gasteiz and they also went to some villages near this city. In september, they played for their first time in Navarre, in Ziordia, and two months later they went to Erandio, Biscay. Since then, they have been playing all over the Basque Coutry. Although they normaly play through the streets, they have also had stage concerts.
Elektrotxaranga[edit]
An elektrotxaranga is a music band that plays music through the streets of cities or villages. It is similar to a txaranga or a marching band, but it consists of guitars, bass, percussion, wind instruments and a singer. This kind of musical group developed in the Basque Country and they usually play songs to dance and have fun in festivities or special festivals.

2012[edit]
The year they started they had most of their concerts in Alava. Their first concert was in the festivities of Adurtza, which is a neighborhood in their city. This year they played in Gasteiz many times but also went to villages like Agurain or Erandio. Their first stage concert was the 22nd of December in a popular place in Gasteiz called Gaztetxea'.
2013[edit]
This year they had more concerts through the Basque Country. They went to Aramaio, Plentzia or Sopelana and they played in more important festivals like the Korrika, which was a very great way to get known. Now they are preparing a summer tour.
