I am discussing this here since it doesn't really pertain to article content at all, but is rather about helping you to orient as a brand new editor here.

Those who have argued against inclusion on the article talk page, myself included, have presented reasons. Those who have argued for inclusion have also presented reasons. That's the normal consensus process at work. So far neither side appears to have persuaded the other (at least not explicitly), so we rely roughly on numbers. That is perfectly consistent with policy and is indeed the norm. If anyone wants to put the matter to the test, they can always start an RfC on the matter. But as a general note I would suggest that you, as a brand new editor, might want to wait to acquire more experience here before attempting anything on that scale. It's also extremely important to assume good faith, which your comment could be interpreted as a failure to do. Any topic which involves post-1992 American Politics is covered by something called discretionary sanctions, and it is generally advisable to avoid such topics altogether while learning the basics such as "what does consensus mean". I suggest hitting up WP:TEAHOUSE with further questions.

You're welcome. Since I see that you have chosen not to take my advice re. post-1992 American politics, I'll give you the standard discretionary sanctions alert below. Please note that this alert does not connote any wrongdoing on your part. Generalrelative (talk) 16:55, 1 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in post-1992 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

To opt out of receiving messages like this one, place {{Ds/aware}} on your user talk page and specify in the template the topic areas that you would like to opt out of alerts about. For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.
