The LM75
[edit]The Moynet LM75 is the race winning race-car of the 1975 24 Hours of Le Mans in the S-2000 category (2-liter class).
It was a relatively small car (3.450m in length,1.570m in width and 0.980m in height), and only weighting 675kg with a 45:55% weight distribution. Powered by an inline-four 1994cc engine outputting 190hp at 7000rpm fed to a Porsche 5-speed transmission, it could reach up to 270km/h (168mph).
Prior cars and races.
[edit]The LM75 wasn't André Moynet's first car, nor was it his first attempt at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, or at motor racing in general.
Moynet first competed in the 1953 24 Hours of Le Mans along with René Bonnet, winning the race in the 750 class in a D.B. HBR-4 LM. He raced again in 1954 along with Clarence de Rinen for Equipe Gordini, however there they didn't finish and only made it to 54 laps.
