Campaign against Euro-federalism (CAEF)[edit]

The Campaign is for democracy and accountability, Britain's independence, jobs and the pound. CAEF is opposed to: Britain joining the euro-zone; a European Army; the EU Common Foreign and Security Policy and an EU Foreign Secretary.

CAEF was founded in 1992 and is a democratic organisation and primarily oriented towards the labour and trade union movement in Great Britain. This includes trade unionists, democrats, socialists, pensioners and students, and their organisations. CAEF membership consists of individual members and affiliated organisations which include trade unions from branch, regional and national level, local TUCs, pensioners' groups and political parties. CAEF is opposed to imperialism and racism.

Aims[edit]

The main aim of CAEF is opposition to Britain's membership of the European Union (EU), especially to the EU Constitution (aka Lisbon Treaty), and the implications of EU membership. The EU Constitution has turned all people who live in the 27 EU Member States into citizens of the EU with a centralised government in Brussels. The European Court of Justice is superior to the Courts and Parliament in Britain.

The Statement of Aims of CAEF are based on the right to self determination, national independence and democracy of nations and nation-states.

Press & website[edit]

CAEF has its own press, a journal The Democrat and a website CAEF

The website includes key articles and features from past and current issues of The Democrat. These include political analysis, news and several series: How the EU Operates after Lisbon; Route to the European Constitution; Roots of Democracy; and Roots of our Rights.

Further publications include Democrat Broadsheets on single issue subjects, leaflets, and pamphlets.
