He served at the "Secretaría de Turismo" (Secretary, or Department of Tourism), in Mexico, as an Adviser to the Secretary 1976-1982.
For almost 60 years, Francisco has been an Interpreter, and Translator: (He studied different languages, English, French, Italian, Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew).
He was an Interpreter for President of Mexico, Luis Echeverría Alvarez, when he was a candidate; First Lady Mrs. Rosalind Carter; Mexico Ambassador to Canada, Mr. Agustin Barrios-Gomez; Ms. Bonnie J. He was interpreter for Dr. Raymond Barber, (President of Independent Baptist Fellowship International), and many others. He was the District Translator for six years at the Arlington Independent School District, Arlington, Texas.
Francisco emigrated with his family to the U.S.A. as Resident Visa Holders in 1982. Later he became US citizen.
In 1992, Francisco was invited by the Perot family to participate in Mr. Ross Perot´s presidential campaign. He would bring to the table his expertise in media, politics, and dealing with Hispanics. After Mr. Perot closed his campaign, Francisco was invited to collaborate with "Four More Years" campaign for President George H. Bush (41). In 2004 Francisco was the organizer for "Evangelicals for Bush" dinner at Fort Worth, Texas, in conjunction with Mr. Roger Williams, President of The Republican Party in Texas (later he became the Secretary of State in Texas, and later Congressman for Texas, 25th District). Such dinner was cancelled since there were other states that President Bush needed more for his reelection.
Francisco has been considered as a very forward, and animated, Baptist Bible preacher. He gave his life to his Savior Jesus Christ when he was 10 years old, 1955. He preached his first sermon when he was 12. He was an evangelist for more than 20 years in Mexico, when he was invited to start a Spanish church at First Baptist Church, Fort Worth, Texas in 1982. By that time he had started three other churches. He returned to Mexico as a missionary in 1985, where he started another seven other churches. He has been a world missionary ever since.
By 1976, he discovered many discrepancies in some translations of the Spanish Bible, especially in the most modern editions. Most of those discrepancies were found in the New Testament, and were drifting way out of proportion, and far away from the "Textus Receptus". He studied the phenomenon, aided by Dr. Don M. Frasier (the "Father" of Bearing Precious Seed) from Fort Worth, Texas, and many other Bible Scholars, and missionaries.
The evidence was so obvious on the errors, that he started questioning the 100% accuracy of such said modern revisions.
Due to the Biblical principle of “do not take away, nor add” to the Bible (Revelation 22:18, 19), and not wanting or willing to get into someone else´s labors (John 4:38), a group of 11 pastors from Mexico, and 15 from US, after extensive time in prayer, determined to start a new translation of the New Testament, where the most problems were. Francisco was appointed to be the Chief Translator.
More than 20 years later, Dr. Francisco “Paco” Guerrero, and a team of more than 30 ministers-scholars finished the new translation of the Spanish New Testament (2015); the closest to the Textus Receptus, and to most of the best translations in other major languages, including the King James Authorized Version, KJV.
As he has quoted many times, “Nothing could have been done without the High, Supreme, and Unlimited power and grace of God Almighty, to whom be Glory, Honor, and Praise, for Ever!” Not to anybody else.
