Avril Lavigne Bandaids (Avril Bandaids, Bandaids or BA for short) is the fan club for Canadian-French singer-songwriter, musician, and occasional actress Avril Lavigne (/ˈævr[invalid input: 'ɨ']l ləˈviːn/; French pronunciation: [avʁil laviɲ].

Origin of the name[edit]

The name of the fan club Avril Lavigne Bandaids emerged from a dialogue^[1] in Almost Famous, a 2000 comedy-drama film written and directed by Cameron Crowe.

Avril Lavigne Bandaids started out as a Yahoo group in her early days.^[3] Founded in April 25, 2002.^[4] Then the admins of the Yahoo group made their own website. ^[5]^[6]

Most of the members of classic Avril Bandaids born in 1980s and 1990s.^[7]

After many years with the classic website. During a "temporal maintenance" period of the website, In march 2015 a new web was created hosted in proboards. At first, it was a temporary forum site for bandaids. The maintenance problems of avrilbandaids.com persisted and this was a pinpoint to many members to leave the website and the forum, as well as some staff.^[8]

In october, the staff anounced that avrilbandaid.com classic website not gonna be up. And the temporary forum in proboards became the official Avril Lavigne Bandaids site.^[9]^[10]

Influence in Avril Fandom[edit]

Some of the members (and staff) of Avril Lavgne Bandaids met personally Avril and promoted many fan events related to avril. Avril was aware of the support received from Avril Bandaids many times as it shows in her direct messages to Avril Bandaids.^[11]
