Altitude is an multimedia EP by Welsh rock band Panic Room. The EP was released to coincide with the band's 2011 Autumn Tour and featured the band's first recorded cover version. A reworking of Emerson, Lake & Palmer's 'Bitches Crystal'. Originally written in a fast 6/8 time signature, Panic Room's version reimagines the song as a slow 4/4 swamp blues and features Panic Room's engineer/co-producer, Tim Hamill on slide guitar and bass.
Also featured on the EP was an animated film to accompany the title track from Panic Room's 2nd album, Satellite. The film was directed by animator, Cole Jefferies and follows the progress of the relationship between an isolated man and woman set in a Blade Runner inspired cityscape.
The EP also served as sampler for the band's work up until then, as it also contained one track each from Panic Room's previous releases.
Artwork - the EP was released in 2 different covers, a red and a blue one, both featuring aerial photographs taken by Anne-Marie Helder.
