Introduction

Domrul is a village (Gram Panchayat) situated in Buldhana district in the state of Maharashtra .Area of village is 526.75 hectares,located 20°24'20.7"N 75°57'39.9"E Pin code 443106.It is 30 km away from district headquarter.this place not just for its fantastic views and fresh air but also to discover a unique clan. The village is a clean,beautiful,surrounded by lush green natural environment.

Population

As per the Population Census 2011, there are total 368 families residing in the village Domrul.The total population of Domrul is 1,690 out of which 859 are males and 831 are females thus the Average sex ratio of Domrul is 967[[1]]. The population of Children of age 0-6 years in Domrul village is 194 which is 11% of the total population. There are 112 male children and 82 female children between the age 0-6 years. Thus as per the Census 2011 the Child Sex Ratio of Domrul is 732 which is less than Average Sex Ratio (967) of Domrul village.

Education

As per the Census 2011, the literacy rate of Domrul is 75.7%. Thus Domrul village has higher literacy rate compared to 72.7% of Buldana district. The male literacy rate is 88.22% and the female literacy rate is 63.28% in Domrul village. As per constitution of India and Panchyati Raaj Act (Amendment 1998).

Shiv Temple

Domrul has got legendary legacy, there were previously made soil fortress.Lord Shiva's Hemadpanthi temple situated on the north side of the village.Hemadpanti architecture style is mentioned as one of the major styles of Indian architecture. Hemadpant, who was chief of the period between 1259 to 1274 of the kingdom of the Yadavas of Devagiri, used this type of building in many places on Maharashtra and Deccan Plateau, and this construction system became known as Hemadpanti on his name. Hemadpanti Temple is continued and still available to the researchers.There are five Samadhis built in the old time around the temple that why its also called "Tapobhumi"तपोभूमि.There is a crowd of devotees here in the month of Shravan.There are several temples on the four sides of the temple.The Goddess Mardadi temple is 5 to 7 km away from the east of the temple. Pareshwar temple in Paradh situated at the west and Shri Chakradhar Swami's temple is 3 km in the north from this place .Padmavati the village near by domrul has the Samadhi of Maharishi Valmiki Muni composer of ancient Indian epic"Ramayana".According to some historians, about the history of Domrul village, long ago, the Damaru were playing before the temple.It is believed to generate the spiritual energy .The name was received from Damuru on the village of Domrul.The real restoration of the temple was around 1965 after the restoration ,Narayan Baba Maharaj of Waki, on 1974-75, personally repaired the temple and gives the real reputation by renovating it.Many devotees visit on Mahashivratri also come to the temple for Bhajan and other programme.It is a Jagrut Devasthan and devotee comes to fulfill their wish.
