George Hill (born 1986, Radstock, Somerset) is an award-winning English ballet dancer who has performed with Semperoper Ballet at Dresden and the Dutch National Ballet, Amsterdam.


Early life[edit]

He grew up in Radstock, Somerset where he attended St Nicholas Primary School[1] and his mother's establishment the Susan Hill School of Dance, before attending the Royal Ballet School from age 11.

Awards[edit]

  • Lynn Seymour Award for Expressive Dance (2004)
  • Finalist, Young British dancer of the Year (2004)
  • Alan Hooper Memorial Award (2001)

Career[edit]

He danced with the Birmingham Royal Ballet[2]. In 2005 he became a member of the Semperoper Ballet at Dresden. In 2007 he achieved the status of Coryphée there. He has also danced with the Dutch National Ballet at Amsterdam[3]
