This user account is a bot operated by Gregbard (talk). It is used to make repetitive automated or semi-automated edits that would be extremely tedious to do manually, in accordance with the bot policy. This bot does not yet have the approval of the community, or approval has been withdrawn or expired, and therefore shouldn't be making edits that appear to be unassisted except in the operator's or its own user and user talk space. Administrators: if this bot is making edits that appear to be unassisted to pages not in the operator's or its own userspace, please block it. |

This is a bot intended to do routine maintenance of articles within the scope of WikiProject Philosophy.
There is currently a proposal to approve this bot: Wikipedia:Bots/Requests for approval/Philosobot.
Proposed functions
[edit]A) Thrice a week, the bot will identify all the articles tagged with {{WikiProject Philosophy}} which are not currently listed in the Index of philosophy. It will insert wikilinks to any new articles into the index alphabetically.
B) Thrice a week, the bot will compare the category Articles for deletion with the articles tagged with {{WikiProject Philosophy}} and place a transclusion of the discussion on Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Philosophy.
C) Once a month, the bot will search through the articles within WP:PHILOSOPHY and identify the most wikilinked terms, and output the result to Wikipedia:WikiProject_Philosophy/Most_wikilinked. Wikilinks to articles within the project will be displayed in bold font.
D) Once a month, the bot will search through the articles within WP:PHILOSOPHY and identify the most redlinked terms, and output the result to Wikipedia:WikiProject_Philosophy/Most_wanted_redlinks.
