Laurette Ponce is a French Accelerator physicist and Antiproton Decelerator operation section leader, at CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research) in Switzerland.
Education[edit]
Laurette Ponce received her PhD in 2002, in accelerator physics, at the Grenoble Institute of Technology, in France ("Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble"). Her doctoral thesis was "Diagnostic with synchrotron radiation of the LHC proton beams"[1] ("Diagnostic par rayonnement synchrotron des faisceaux de protons du LHC")[2].
Professional career[edit]
From 2007 to 2018 Laurette was engineer in charge at the Large Hadron Collider operation, CERN.
From 2018 Laurette is the section leader of the Antiproton Decelerator Operation[3], CERN.

Public appearance[edit]
Laurette gave a talk at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting of the New Champions in 2012[4], Tianjin, China, entitled "Tiny Particles Big Questions[5]".
In 2014 she was invited to represent CERN at the United Nations, Geneva, Switzerland, for a meeting on gender equality[6], at the occasion of the 60th CERN anniversary[7].
In April 2009 Laurette received Cédric Klapisch and his colleague Alexis Galmot at CERN to scout out possible locations for a forthcoming fiction-science film based on Boris Vian’s novel about the duality between the good and bad uses of science.[8]
Social life[edit]
Since 2018 Laurette is the president of the local music school "École de musique de Chevry-Crozet-Echenevex"[9]
