Lillois station is a railway station of line 124, from Bruxelles-midi to Charleroi-Sud, situated in Lillois-Witterzée, part of braine-l'Alleud district, in the Brabant Wallon province, in the Walloon region. It was brought into service in 1874 by the Belgian railway administration. It is a stop without worker from the Belgian railway national company (SNCB), served by Intercity (IC) and Suburbain (S1) train. Built at 129 metres altitude, Lillois station is situated at the 23.161 kilometre point on the 124 line, from Bruxelles-Midi to Charleroi-Sud, between the open stations of Braine-l'alleud and Nivelles. Lillois station was brought into service on 10th March 1874 by the Belgian railway administration when they decided to open the way between Waterloo and Braine-l'Alleud. The previous station being considered inappropriate to new needs was totally demolished in 1979 in order to build a new one with a more modern design. In 1981, the new Lillois station is inaugurated by the minister Valmy Féaux. Upon the works on the new station, an underground passage is built in order to be able to reach the platform in the direction of Bruxelles from Place de la gare without having to cross the railway. Because of the RER works, the grade crossing of René Francq street will be deleted and replaced by a passage under the railway for pedestrian.
