Andrew Alliance is a Swiss-based company specializing in life sciences and laboratory automation. Founded in 2011, the company has gained recognition for its innovative solutions in the field of laboratory equipment and liquid handling systems[1][2].
History
[edit]Andrew Alliance was founded in 2011 in Geneva, Swizerland, by Piero Zucchelli, Giorgio Horak, and Antoine Jordan[3]. The main objective was to find a solution to overcome the problem of manual pipetting in sample preparation.
In 2013, Andrew Alliance presented at the Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening conference in Orlando, USA.[4] the first product suite: Andrew[5], the liquid handler robot using mechanical pipettes, and Andrew Lab[6], an easy-to-use protocol design software for scientists.
Six years later, Andrew Alliance presented the second generation of product suite: Andrew+, Pipette+, and OneLab at the Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening conference in Washington, D.C., USA. [7]
In Januray 2020, Waters Corporation acquired Andrew Alliance[8].
