Wholesalebox is a B2B e-commerce platform for Retailers, Shopkeepers, and Resellers where they can buy Fashion and home furnishing product for their Wholesale Stock at Wholesale price. It helps in bridging the gap between manufacturers and retailers in such way that both side parties can make more and more profit. They provide a wide variety of clothes, accessories, footwear, and handicrafts for all age groups and sex.

History:

Wholesalebox was founded in September 2015 by Rohit Dangyach, Madhur Bhaiya, Chandan Agarwal and Rakesh Shekhawat with a head office in Jaipur. Rohit Dangyach is an IIT Roorkee and IIM Bangalore alumnus and Madhur Bhaiya is an IIT Delhi graduate. Chandan Agarwal is an MBA graduate, investment banker and Rakesh Shekhawat ran a software services company and was a technology consultant in a few startups incubated in Startup Oasis. The objective behind the start of this company was to avail the goods directly from manufacturers to retailers to bring the best prices as they operate on low margins.

How they Work:

Wholesalebox is breaking the traditional channel between the retailers and manufacturers. For them, Manufacturers are the sellers and Retailers are the customers. They are providing an E-market to Manufacturers so that they can also reach all over India just like Retailers are doing in other E-commerce sites with a profit of about 25-30% of the current buying as they buy directly from the Manufacturers. They have more 66000 shops as their customers in 2 years. The company also offers a facility of Drop-shipping where stocks are directly shipped to the customers by taking all headaches of shipping, packing, and delivery of orders.

Funding at a glance:

Wholesalebox raised a pre-Series A funding of $2 million in October 2016. They received the funds from Contrarian Vriddhi Fund, some angels & institutional investors, Manish Maheshwari, CEO of Network 18 Digital, ex-Flipkart head of Seller Ecosystem and some others.
