After Breast Cancer (ABC) - Toronto

[edit]

The life after Breast Cancer is often tough for women. The journey to be back to 'normalcy' fills with anxious, emotional instability and fears [1]. The After Breast Cancer is a registered charity that was setup to ensure women have access to basic needs and to provide mastectomy bras and breast prostheses to women who are financially unable to afford them while the majority of breast cancer organizations focus on Research, and the Cure for breast cancer.

History

[edit]

The founder of After Breast Cancer, Alicia Vianga - a certified bra fitter and owner of Premier Jour Fine Lingerie in Toronto, had an idea to start her projects as to ensure breast cancer survivors who were financially challenged still had an access to basic needs including mastectomy bras, breast prostheses and educational workshops.
