Cabsguru^[1] is a mobile app startup headquartered in Delhi and is owned by Nohup Technologies Pvt. Ltd. It stands on the motto of “One app for all cabs” and acts as a metasearch platform for intra-city cab booking and also provides services for inter-city, self-drive robocab car booking.

History and Team

The company was founded in January 2014 and launched it's Android app in March 2014 and it has since then received more than 100k downloads on Google Playstore. Cabsguru was founded by Vikash Singh^[2], an alumni of NIT-Trichy with more than 8 years of experience in the software industry and Pulkit Ahuja^[3] who is a MBA from Lal Bahadur Shashtri Institute of Management, Delhi. He is a seasoned author and a serial entrepreneur.

Operations and Funding

Cabsguru started operations by providing commuters the ability to choose from a single app between different intra-city aggregators like Ola, Taxi For Sure, Meru Cabs, Easy Cabs etc. Cabsguru secured its seed fund^[4]^[5]^[6] in December 2015 from Prashanth Ranganathan, founder and CEO of Paysense and former Head of Product, APAC for PayPal.

In January 2015 Cabsguru came into partnership^[7] with ORIX to launch the Premium intercity cab services in 8 cities^[8]^[9] and self drive car rental services in major metros in India.
