Olayemi Esan (born Oluwapelumi Olayemi Esan; 24 May 1983) is a Nigerian Broadcaster, blogger, PR Consultant and Artist Manager, Broadcast Journalist, media practitioner, entertainment/Showbiz Blogger and talk Show host. She is best known for her blog Justpye. She is one of the biggest blogger and PR Manager in Nigeria.

Early life and education[edit]

Esan was born and raised in a C.A.C family from Ibadan, Oyo State. She is the first child. Oluwapelumi Olayemi began her hobby in singing and writing at the age of 9. She finished secondary school at the age of 17 and, at 18, enrolled at the Obafemi Awolowo University of Ile-Ife, Adeyemi College Of Education Campus, where she studied History. To begin a journey into the broadcast media, she started in her final year by joining other interesting young people to set up a radio station in school. She is a pioneer member of the establishment. Esan graduated from the University in 2006. In 2007, she joined broadcating and later in 2012 she started blogging as a hobby. At that time, the internet was not as prominient in Nigeria and she had to make her posts at a cybercafe.

Broadcasting and Blogging[edit]

After graduation, Esan got a job with Radio Nigeria Positive FM Akure as a Presenter, she was sent for training in 2007 to know the Basic Radio Productions and Presentation, She later in 2012 started blogging. She became an active blogger though in 2012 but created a big Website in 2017 Olayemi worked with several media houses such as Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria FRCN, Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State BCOS, Orange 94.5 FM Akure, Space 90.1 FM Ibadan. She started her Online TV in 2015 having worked briefly with TV 360 Ikeja Lagos. She is the media Consultant for Festival of India Lagos now Indian-Nigeria Festival. Olayemi Esan who started Justpye Media promoted the India Festival Lagos Online.

Philanthropy and Charity[edit]

Esan runs a non-profit outreach themed Olayemi Esan Outreach.She shared pictures of her Outreach on Facebook. In her interview with Nigerian Tribune, she revealed that through the outreach, she assists orphans and widows, she is passionate about children and helping the less privileged people. She joined a non- governmental Organisation called International Support for humanity. She is the organisation Public Relation Associate. Esan has used her blog to promote health telated issues especially as it affects Nollywood Veteran Actors. A clear instance is Bukola Fagbuyi's Free Health Care for Veteran Actors in the Movie Industry in Nigeria which she published and the news went viral.

Controversial posts[edit]

Olayemi Esan has dealt with controversial posts which include the 60 Million Naira Hotel Hype for her Friend Hype gone bad!Damola Olatunji and publicist fight dirty over 60m hotel and also about celebrities. She also made controversial publications about Liz Anjorin who debunked the publication.

Recognition[edit]

In December 2014, Olayemi Esan got the Yorùbá Heritage Award For Female Blogger of the Year at Atlanta Georgia USA, where she received the award with other Showbiz Actresses and Actors. In 2015, JKrue Youth Award For Youth Blogger of the Year. Olayemi Esan was one of the fast rising Journalists Instagram in Nigeria for 2014. The name Olayemi Esan was active online as Justpye publisher, she got an endorsed as Numatville Ambassador. Olayemi Esan was nominated at Nigerian Broadcasters Merit Award 2012 but didn't win the category. She got nominated when she was an OAP at Orange 94.5 FM Akure in 2012 as Most Promising and Young Presenter of the Year (TV/Radio) at the Nigerian Broadcaster Merit Award 2012
