Michael Jackson was an African American singer[1] who grew up in the limelight after releasing his first album as a member of The Jackson Five when he was eleven years old.[2] Jackson had multiple health issues that were dealt with in the media, in public and even in court. In 1984 Jackson suffered severe burnings during a commercial shooting. He had to undergo two surgeries on his scalp. After the second surgery in 1993 he developed a dependancy on painkillers.Cite error: A <ref> tag is missing the closing </ref> (see the help page). and a back injury.[3] Some concerts had to be canceled due to viral infections.[4] In the 1980's his skin became light astonishing the public.[5] Many thought Jackson wanted to be white.[6] Eventually Jackson revealed in a TV interview in 1993 that he was suffering from vitiligo, a rare skin condition that depigments parts of the skin.[7] Jackson's vitiligo became so severe that he couldn't even it out with make-up anymore. He had to depigment it with FDA-approved creams.[8][5] Jackson repeatedly said that he had been physically abused by his father when he was a child.[9] He also said that he had never had a normal childhood due to his early fame. As an adult Jackson tried to make up for his missed childhood. In 2005 he was acquitted.[10] In 2009 Jackson was preparing for a series of comeback concerts to be held in London.</ref> Murray was sentenced to serve four years in prison.[11] Jackson suffered from insomnia and received propofol, a sedative, to get to sleep. The drug was administered by Jackson's personal physician in the singer's residence in Los Angeles. On June 25, Jackson died in his residence of an acute propofol and bebzodiazepine intoxication.[1] His personal physician was convicted to serve four years in prison for involuntary manslaughter.</ref> Murray was sentenced to serve four years in prison.[11]
