Deborah Arunditha Emmanuel (born 19 September 1988) is a Singaporean artist most known for her work in performance poetry, music and the dramatic arts. She also practices Shamanism [1] . Emmanuel has performed on stages globally, making appearances at the Queensland Poetry Festival, Barcelona International Poetry Festival. She is also aTEDx speaker.
Early Life
[edit]Deborah Emmanuel was born in Singapore. Her father is of Malayali descent and her mother is Eurasian (mixed ancestry). She went to the Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus from 1992 to 2001. In 2013, her mother Sandra Ann Gomes died of ovarian cancer.[2]
Career
[edit]Emmanuel's first book was published in 2015 with Red Wheelbarrow Books. Her next two books were published with the help of Pozible.
