Darkness Falls (band)
Darkness Falls consists of Josephine Philip and Ina Lindgreen. The female duo create a dramatic atmospheric sound combining raw guitars (played by Lindgreen), haunting synths, gritty drums and mesmerizing vocals (by Philip’s). Their sound is not easily pinned down; traditional rock influences and electronic beats merge with contemporary arrangements, creating a dynamic and varied soundscape. Josephine received international critical acclaim for her pop joint, JaConfetti, and has written and preformed with acts such as Trentemøller or Filur. Ina has played with numerous bands for the past decade, among them the all girl ska band Favelachic, where she met her current partner.
Released in 2011 to much applause, the debut album ‘Alive In Us’ and the single ‘Hey!’ made Darkness Falls the most played act on national Danish radio in 2011, but also gained attention abroad with iTunes USA indie-spotlight feature and radio rotations around Europe. With two new singles out the band released their second album in the beginning of 2015. Their debut album was was produced by Anders Trentemøller and the new album is produced by Lasse Martinussen (Rosemary) and Adrian Aurelius (Raveonettes).
In March 2015 the duo played at the Sonar Copenhagen event.<ref>''LibreOffice For Starters'', Sonar Copenhagen</ref>
