- 'Unity Fellowship Church Movement' ('UFCM) is a Los Angeles, California based Protestant Christian denomination. It was founded in 1982 as 'Unity Fellowship Church, Los Angeles by Reverend (now Archbishop) Carl Bean as a liberal mainline church that is explicitly welcoming of LGBT African Americans. The church received non-profit status from the state government of California in 1985, and the UFCM was founded in 1990 as a full-fledged non-profit organization for the establishment and governance of more churches.
