Jim J Adams
James J. (Jim) Adams (born 1955 in Los Angeles, California) is president emeritus of Life Pacific University in San Dimas, California. He served as the 10th president of the university from 2013-2019.
Adams is a graduate of Life Pacific (Biblical Studies, 1977), earned the MA in Social Science from Azusa Pacific University, and a doctorate in educational leadership from the University of Southern California where he was recipient of USC’s dissertation of merit award.
Previously, Adams served as an international education administrator, professor, school superintendent, college vice president, and dean. He is an ordained minister of The Foursquare Church (since 1977). He is active in the community, have served as Rotary president/member, and on several local and national boards and organizations.
With his wife Lori, Adams has two adult children, Alissa and Amanda.
