Hazel Rhodes Reece (January 11, 1925 - February 7, 2015) was a quilter from Onslow County, North Carolina.
Biography
[edit]In 1991, Hazel Rhodes Reece and her sister Effie Rhodes Bell were the first quilters to be recipients of the North Carolina Heritage Award[1].
Reece learned to quilt by watching her older sisters and learning techniques from her aunts. [2]
