Architecture

The club's several buildings and cottages were first constructed from 1928-1929 and were designed by architect Kenneth Murchison. These buildings were mostly destroyed by the hurricane of 1938 - but the Gate House of the club, visible from Boston Neck Road still remains as well as two cottages which are now privately owned homes. The architectural firm, Purves, Cope and Steward reconstructed the club's buildings from 1939-1940. [2].
