Sleepy Doug Shaw is the performing name of Douglas Shaw. He was born in London and moved to New York City at the age of 20 to pursue music. [1]. He records under the name Highlife, performs as a solo artist under the Sleepy Doug Shaw moniker and plays with Mira Billotte in the band White Magic. In addition also plays bass in Gang Gang Dance[2] and has been a rotating member of the Brooklyn Psych band Jäh Division.
