Todoist is a web service and suite of task management software. Tasks can also contain notes with any type of file. Tasks can be placed in projects, sorted by filters, labeled, edited and exported.[1]
Todoist currently supports 13 desktop and mobile platforms, including Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS X, iOS, Android, Google Chrome, Firefox, Gmail, Microsoft Outlook, Thunderbird and Postbox, and offers online syncing and backup.
History
[edit]Todoist was founded and introduced in January 2007. In February 2017, the number of users reached 10 million.[2]And on June 21, 2017, a new project "Twist" was announced to manage projects in teams.[3]
Function
[edit]Todoist supports 13 desktop and mobile platforms, offers online synchronization and backup storage, integrates with Google Calendar and a number of other services.
All Todoist accounts have limits, free accounts have a maximum limit of 80 projects and 5 people in each, and premium and business 200 projects have up to 50 people in each project. These restrictions do not apply to archived projects.
Tasks can be placed in projects, sorted by filters, labeled, edited and exported, assigned to those responsible, add notifications, alarms, and more.
Gamification
[edit]Performance statistics are gamified in the form of Tuduist Karma. It allows you to analyze and visualize user performance in a user-friendly interface. There are 8 levels, depending on the number of points scored by the user: Beginner, Beginner, Amateur, Professional, Expert, Master, Grand Master, enlightened.[4] Karma points are earned when adding new tasks, completing tasks, using pumped-up features such as calendar, alarm clock, reminders, filters, achieving daily goals, running a multi-day marathon of daily goals.
Platform
[edit]Todoist clients are available for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, Android, iOS. There is currently no officially supported client for Linux and Windows Phone.
Todoist extensions are also available for Google Chrome and Firefox, as well as for Microsoft Outlook, Thunderbird, and Postbox email clients.
