The Brighton City Race is an early evening urban orienteering event that takes place in mid December each year in the City of Brighton & Hove, UK. The race is organised by Southdowns Adventure Running Club which is an off-shoot of the Sussex club Southdowns Orienteers.

The inaugural competition was held in December 2009 and featured both a sprint orienteering section as well as a score orienteering section. In subsequent years the competition has adopted the British Orienteering guidelines on Urban Orienteering, but remains a mass start competition held after night fall.

Assembly for the first three races was on the lower floor of the NCP car park Churchill Square 1. In 2012 an event centre was established at Middle Street School. The start moved from Russell Road to the Promenade opposite the southern end of Middle Street.

The 2012 race was final round of the South of England Orienteering Urban League and received sponsorship in the form of prizes from Buff, UK.
