From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"End Citizens United" the organization "End Citizens United the organization" is a deceptively disguised Super PAC for conservative Democrats. It's is registered with the Federal Election Commission, 999 E Street, NW, Washington, DC 20463 (800) 424-9530 as END CITIZENS UNITED.

In the first 6 months of 2015 only 2.5% of the money raised went to candidates.[1] According to their through 6-2015 FEC filing 78 donors requested their money back from the “End Citizens United” PAC between April 2 and June 30, 2015. They refunded $78,381 (5% of the total amount raised). The average refund they made was $1,230.70. [2]

Move to Amend, the National Group with 100's of endorsing organizations, is working to actually end the Citizens United ruling by the Supreme Court siad this about this organization: "Beware: The Group "End Citizens United" is Pulling Your Chain - Are you getting daily emails from a group calling itself "End Citizens United"? We've been getting tons of questions about who this group is, and a bunch of messages from confused people thinking that these emails are coming from Move to Amend. Let me assure you, they are NOT Move to Amend.

We've now been asked by dozens and dozens of our supporters to send an email to our full list to shine a light on what's going on here...

This shadowy "End Citizens United" group popped up on the scene just as the 2016 Presidential candidates are starting to declare their campaigns. This Super PAC claims to be working against Citizens United and putting an "End to Corporate Personhood" but a visit to their website says otherwise:

No suggested language as to what the amendment should say. No suggestion that corporate personhood is the root problem. No information or support for any of the myriad amendments already under consideration, including the We the People Amendment. No information about who is behind their group. No field operation to help organize people. Just a petition (to collect names for their database), and a Donate button (to collect money for ??). " [3]

On this page they disgustingly imply Elizabeth Warren has endorsed them: by saying: " Throughout her career, Senator Elizabeth Warren has been one of the loudest and strongest voices against the corrupting influence of money in politics. We’re grateful to have Senators like her who understand the simple truths that money isn’t speech and corporations aren’t people! Now, we're going to send Senator Warren a card from End Citizens United supporters to thank her for fighting against big money. Sign our card to thank Elizabeth Warren for calling for Citizens United to be overturned." and using her picture.[4] They use emails like this one to solicit money implying Warrens endorsement as well.

They even raise money for their Super PAC with the likes of T-Shirts claiming to get money out of politics.

End Citizens United: Reform Group or Cash Cow? New campaign finance reform group lands pro-Clinton PAC’s email list

Author and longtime progressive activist Jim Hightower, who also sits on Public Citizen’s board, is more blunt about End Citizen’s United, saying: “It’s a fraud.”[5]
