Windsor Plaza Hotel - Ho Chi Minh City i a 5-star luxury and business hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The 25-storey, 405-room property stands in Cholon (historic Chinatown). The hotel is the tallest building in district 5, operated by Windsor Real Estate Management Corporation and is privately owned by An Dong Investment Corporation.
History[edit]
Windsor Plaza Hotel was built based on a pending project from 1992 to 2002. In 2003, the project was transferred to Van Thinh Phat Ltd., Co. After one year of construction, An Dong Plaza officially opened in October, 2004; in June 2005, construction finished on the 25-floor building with a capital of $1,284 million, meeting the needs of shopping, dining, accommodation and event hosting.[1]

An Dong Plaza is a three-storey air-conditioned shopping mall attached to the Windsor Plaza Hotel. It is listed in the Top 10 Interested Shopping Points in Ho Chi Minh City as part of the 100 Interesting Things program of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in cooperation with the municipal Tourism Association
Dining[edit]
Cafe Central An Dong is a buffet restaurant located on the 4th level of the hotel. It serves a variety of international cuisines and offers an a la carte menu prepared by a team of multinational chefs.
Ngan Dinh is the award-winning Chinese Restaurant located on the 5th level of the hotel.
Top of the Town is a fine-dining restaurant located on the 25th floor of the hotel that offers a panoramic view of the city.

America Discotheque is one of the largest discotheques in Saigon. It is located on the 3rd level of the hotel. Fitness Center: Fitness and relaxation facilities and services available in the hotel include a swimming pool, gym and fitness center located on the 24th floor. A spa and massage center is located on the 3rd floor.

The Windsor Plaza Hotel caters to business executives with packages for business meetings, conventions, and trade shows, and is a popular destination for hosting events such as weddings, banquets, and celebrations.
The hotel has four floors (3000 sq m) of meeting space including a 1,800-person capacity ballroom. The Business Center located on the 4th floor has a capacity for up to 15 people; Club Ngan Dinh and Ngan Dinh VIP Rooms on the 5th floor can accommodate up to 500 people.
The Conference Center on the 6th floor accommodates up to 450 people.
The Jade Ballroom, the largest hotel ballroom in Saigon, is located on the 7th floor and can hold up to 1,200 people.
The Windsor Plaza Hotel caters to business executives with packages for business meetings, conventions, and trade shows.

Oktoberfest[edit]
Every October, the Windsor Plaza Hotel brings the spirit of Oktoberfest to the heart of Saigon with authentic German cuisine and imported German beers'. Ho Chi Minh City's Oktoberfest is co-hosted with the "German Business Association of Vietnam."
Royal Wedding Fair[edit]
Annually, The Windsor Plaza Hotel hosts the "Royal Wedding Fair" which features the latest wedding gowns, accessories, and services from Vietnamese and overseas designers. The event is open to the public and is topped off with a nightly fashion show featuring the latest wedding designs.
New Year's Eve Celebration[edit]
Every December 31, "the Windsor Plaza Hotel" hosts a New Year's Eve Celebration. The event features live musical performances by Ho Chi Minh City's top performing artists and a buffet with select dishes from the in-house chefs.
Official Residence of Mrs. Vietnam[edit]
In 2009, "Windsor Plaza Hotel" welcomed 60 of the country's most talented, intelligent,and beautiful women for the semi-final competition of the Mrs. Vietnam 2009 Pageant. Serving as the official Ho Chi Minh City residence for the pageant, Windsor hosted the semi-finals in the WIP Room of Ngan Dinh. This event determinded who would continue to compete in the Mrs. Vietnam final competition and eventually vie for Mrs. World 2009.
Awards and Commendation[edit]
On February 4, 2006, the Vietnam Tourism Administration officially recognized the Windsor Plaza Hotel as a 5-star hotel. The Windsor Plaza Hotel is the first private hotel to achieve this status.
In May 2001, the Windsor Plaza Hotel won the Highly Commended Award in the category of Best Hotel in Vietnam at the inaugural Asia Pacific Hotel Awards 2001 in association with Bloomberg Television at the Longemont Hotel Shanghai[2]
