Editors and articles
[edit]There are very few editors pursuing RFCs or discussion to install infoboxes.
- In the last year, 9 editors initiated 17 discussions about adding infoboxes; 41% of the discussions were initiated by one editor (Dronebogus).
- There was not a single case where the initiator of the infobox discussion had any prior engagement with the article or article talk (other than to initiate an infobox discussion).
- All 17 articles are composers, performers and writers.
- In 53% of those discussions, an infobox was installed.
- In one article where an infobox was installed (Felix Mendelssohn), not a single regular contributor to the article responded on the RFC (infobox fatigue?).
- All except five editors (AirshipJungleman29, GoodDay, HAL333, North8000, Some1) !voted the same way across all discussions.
Editors who were never previously involved with the article or talk page, and !voted in at least four infobox discussions, in order of participation (S support infobox addition, O oppose, or varies) are:
- Nemov (S) – 13
- Dronebogus (S) – 12
- Ortizesp (S) – 10
- Johnbod (O) – 8 but many previous involvement
- Shibbolethink (S) – 8
- GoodDay (varies) – 7
- Guest2625 (O) – 6
- Ghirlandajo (O) – 5
- HAL333 (varies) – 5
- SWinxy (S) – 5
- BogLogs (S) – 4
- Isaidnoway (O) – 4
- ModernDayTrilobite (S) – 4
- North8000 (varies) – 4
- Thryduulf (S) – 4
Of the 17 infobox discussions in the last year, 59% are assessed at the FA/GA level.
- In no case was WT:FAC notified, leaving out a potentially large group of stakeholders; it was always historically considered canvassing to notify of infobox discussions at FAC.
- It appears that WikiProjects weren't often notified. This means observations of trends may not reflect results if all stakeholders had been equally notified.
- The Featured articles nominated and curated by certain editors have been disproportionately targeted (Cassianto, SchroCat, Smerus, Ssilvers, Tim riley), including with list tracking.
Editors who were significantly top contributors to the article and !voted in at least five infobox discussions are:
- SchroCat (O) – IP2A00 ? If included, then six of eleven votes were as previous significant contributor
- Smerus (O) – Four of six votes were as main article contributor
- Ssilvers (O) – Seven of nine votes were main article contributor
- Tim riley (O) – Seven of eight votes were main article contributor
Rounding out the 20 Frequent Flyers is Gerda Arendt, who votes in three of the 17, but comments on nine.

Poking, proxying, badgering, goading, and editors affected
[edit]- Poking and bringing up ten-year-old diffs
- Stirring the pot
- Discussing another editor without notifying them
- Proxy and influence and tracking
- Goading: Doubling-down without striking of personal attacks, [1] [2] [3] only partially struck,[4] and goading that precipitated those personal attacks,[5] [6] [7]
- Within a contentious topic (infoboxes), opens an RFC with one already on the page which had been voted on two days earlier; partially copies other editor comments from the previous RFC without notifying; partially pings other previously involved editors; and closes own RFC after 14 days.
- If at first you don't succeed, keep crossposting: 1st VPR, 2nd VPR
- In at least six articles, discussion was dominated or opposers badgered, with participants going from zero prior contributions to being among the top talk page contributors.
- Losing editors (150 combined Featured articles): Smerus, FAC: losing content editors
