The Indian Rocks Beach Branch was used to bring passengers from Tampa, which helped Indian Rocks Beach become a tourist destination.[1] Though passenger service declined and by 1928, the bridge carrying the branch to Indian Rocks Beach was removed, and the branch was truncated to Anona.[2] The rest of the branch was abandoned in the 1940s.
