The Moon Purchase[edit]

in late 2006 the Moon was purchased by an 18 year old entrepenuer named Mike Guild. he currently resides in Tampa, FL under an assumed name. he bought the moon from a secret council named the mooners. the purchase amount is unknown but something about a patato sack race was overheard at the last press conference. he has re named the dark side of the moon to ol' blacky and the light side of the moon, Thomas. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 168.254.226.35 (talk) 17:31, 21 February 2007 (UTC).

How about giving us a reputable source for starters? Lunokhod 17:47, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
We Mooninites have advanced far beyond your primitive earth concept of "sources". thx1138 07:09, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

from User talk:Quarl, I'm not *completely* sure this was meant to be funny :)

Solar system warming (AfD discussion)[edit]

I'm quite confused by your closing of this AfD. In the entire discussion, it appears that there was only a single editor who suggested the redirection, and at least 4 who specifically disagreed with the idea. --Philosophus T 06:15, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

Hi Philosophus, thanks for asking. The stated disagreements to redirection were mainly opposing content merging, not the existance of a #REDIRECT. A redirect makes sense here: if someone searches for information on something called "solar system warming", solar variation theory is probably what they're looking for. Anyway, closing as a "redirect" can be seen as procedural shorthand for closing as "delete", then creating a redirect, then doing a history-only under-redirect undeletion. When in doubt, don't delete[edit]

That is, edit towards a goal, not away from what you think is bad. If someone contributes something which you find unclear or misleading, polish their work to make it shine. This polishing may involve deletion, but that shouldn't be considered the intent of the edit.

1 equals 2 when...[edit]

...when the universe turns into a black hole, just before the next Big Bang. user:Baseball Bugs 02:00, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

I will just sit in a nice little loop until then. user:Until(1 == 2) 02:02, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

Good plan. :) user:Baseball Bugs 02:06, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
