Timothy J. "Tim" Lauer is an American keyboard player, session musician, songwriter, arranger, and producer.[1]

Biography

Lauer attended Belmont University to study string arranging.[2] After touring for ten years, Lauer worked as a songwriter, and began playing recording sessions. This led to production and work in advertising and television.[1]

Lauer has worked with Robin Zander,[3] Robert Plant, The Civil Wars, Blake Shelton, Shawn Mendes, Megadeth, Chris Cornell, Taylor Swift,[4] and others.

Lauer was bandleader for Trisha Yearwood, and has toured with Kathy Mattea and Wynonna Judd.[2]

As Executive Music Producer of the Nashville television show, Lauer is responsible for song selection and studio recording production,[1] and has also composed songs used in the show.[5]
