Authoring a draft article about a business organization or company

If this is your first attempt to author an article about a business organization or a company, I recommend that you follow these steps:

(1) Determine whether the subject of your article meets the requirements for inclusion in the encyclopedia.

This is your first priority, and you cannot skip this step. Your draft must demonstrate that the subject meets the notability guidelines here:

(2) Research your subject, looking for source material.

You want to find independent coverage about the company itself. If you can only find coverage about the company's products or services, or only about the company CEO, then you should not try to author a draft about the company.
