I am a 27 year old Chemistry graduate student in Alaska. While the main focus of my research is in Environmental Chemistry (more specifically Atmospheric Chemistry), my interests are many, including quantum mechanics, mathematical constants, programming and parallel computing. I make edits to pages regarding these interests, as well as others I find interesting. I think that Wikipedia is an incredibly valuable tool, and enjoy helping the community make it better.
I currently conduct research as a PhD student at the University of Alaska Fairbanks Geophysical Institute. I use the WRF modeling suite to predict volcanic ash plume development and transport in the atmosphere. I'm in the process of parameterizing sulfur dioxide conversion near the Upper Troposphere Lower Stratosphere (UTLS) in hopes that I can add this process to the model. This research provides many advantageous results, mostly benefiting the aerospace industry and military.
Feel free to drop me a comment on my talk page! If you find me making edits you don't agree with, let me know there as well. I don't watch every page that I edit, so a heads up on my talk page will catch my attention.
Thanks fellow Wikipedians!!!
