Bukalo is a settlement area in Namibia in the Caprivi region. It is situated about 40 km east of Katima Mulilo. It is where the Masubia Khuta is based under the control of Chief Liswani III. Currently, the Khuta is without a Ngambela, after Chrispin Katukula was ousted from his seat. Bukalo is inhabited by people from the Zambezi flood plains

Nature[edit]

Bukalo has a dry sub-humid (0.5 - 0.65 p/pet) climate. The land area is not cultivated, most of the natural vegetation is still intact. The landscape is mostly covered with mosaic grassland/forest - shrubland. The climate is classified as a subtropical steppe (low-latitude dry), , with a subtropical dry forest biozone . The soil in the area is high in arenosols (ar), soils with sandy or loamy sand texture.
