Paulie Gee's new article content ... Paul Gionnone, from New Jersey, the man know as "Paulie Gee", is living the life of every home chef with a dream, a big dream. One of his restaurants, nestled near the waterfront in Greenpoint, feels like home. But what it really is...a bustling restaurant with lines out the big barn doors, very day it is open, with a reputation to kill for, and restaurants opening up in cities across the country. Best part,this guy, he comes by your table and says hello, just to check in.
With his Neapolitan-style pies that come nicely charred out of the wood-fired oven, they satisfy all ranges of taste, from spicy meat-based pies to many vegetarian options, all with an interesting angle. One size, no slices, no take-out, no delivery. Because he can. Keep in mind the space is not huge, and there are no reservations, nor apologies, so plan your trip wisely. Weekdays before 8 best option.
There are dessert options. Beer and wine only.
