[edit]

Shahrikhansoy is magistral channel in Andijan and Fergana regions. It starts from Kampirrovot hydroelectric station. It was built in 1887 and it's length is 120 km. The capasity of transferring water at the starting point is 110 m³/s; this indication is 30 m³/s where it crosses Fergana Canal.Near Asaka city 2 power plants work with its water. Water in the channel is distrubuted through 8 large hydronodes. Since 1876 reconstructing has been carried out. The channel serves to receive flooded and waste water from Oqbura and Aravon rivers and this water goes up to Asaka junction through the channel. In the 62nd km of track Shahrikhansoy joins to Aravonsoy and from there (up to Nayman rectifier) it flows in its ancient watercourse. It irrigates the land of Andijan, Fergana regions and O'sh region of Kyrgyzstan (127.5 thousand hectare) with Janubiy Farg'ona kanali. in Andijan region it irrigates 68 thousands hectare until it met with Katta Fergana canal
