NZXT is a computer component manafacturer based in Los Angeles, California. Founded in 2004 by Johnny Hou, they specialise in ATX midi tower and full tower cases, as well as accessories such as computer cooling and power systems. Whilst their products are designed in Los Angeles large-scale manafacturing takes place in plants in China and Taiwan.
In 2011 the company hired 3 new staff to cope with growth experienced that year, also running a stall at PAX East in association with nVidia.in the same year.
The Phantom case is NZXT's most popular product. It has won over 40 awards [1] and is a popular choice for high-end enthusiast computer builds. Also popular is the budget Source line of cases, which retail under $50. A common, unusual feature of the company's cases is the use of the inverted ATX standard throughout; i.e. the motherboard is mounted upside-down with the power supply at the bottom of the case.
The name NZXT is a corruption of the word "next" in uppercase [2].
