Nechako Residence
[edit]The Nechako Housing Commons is one of the latest residence projects at the University of British Columbia Okanagan. The UBC Okanagan campus is located in Kelowna, British Columbia and houses approximately a mix of 2000 undergraduate and master's degree students[1].
History
[edit]In 2019, UBC Okanagan’s enrolment numbers are said to exceed 10,000 students in September[2]. In 2019, UBC Okanagan’s campus had the capacity to house 1680 students[2]. Building the Nechako Residence adds about 218 more spaces for students to live.
Pritchard Dining Hall
[edit]Located in the Nechako Residence, the Pritchard dining hall provides seating for over 450 guests. This dining hall consists of an all you can eat dining experience with many options to choose from. These meals are provided from the convenience plan or an opportunity to pay once. This is the only residence building at UBC Okanagan that offers a dining hall. This dining experience offers a weekly rotation of chef prepared food.
