Anke Brunn

Anke Brumm (born 17 September 1942 in Behrendorf, Schleswig-Holstein) is a German economist and SPD politician.

Life

Having taken the Abitur, in 1961 Brumm then studied economics at Hamburg and Cologne universities, as well as at the Sorbonne in Paris. She finished her studies with a diploma in 1966, following which she worked as a research assistant at Cologne university.

Brunn is married to the historian Gerhard Brunn.

Politics

Brunn joined the centre-left Social Democratic Party of Germany (Sozialdemokratische Partei Deutschlands) in 1967,
