Bernard Luthi

Bernard Luthi (born 1963) is an ecommerce veteran who has played an important role in the growth of several domestic and global companies, most notably Rakuten.com, Buy.com, Newegg.com, PC Mall and Ingram Micro. He is a frequent speaker at ecommerce related conferences and editorial contributor to recognized industry publications.

Early Career

Luthi began his career as a Small Business Consultant working for the Los Angeles Minority Business Development Center (LAMBDC), an organization funded via contract with the State of California to provide business services to minority and women owned business in the greater Los Angeles Area. Following the end of his one year contact with the LAMBDC, Luthi joined the Southland Organization (7-11 Convenience stores) as a Field Consultant and was responsible for the Franchise management and promotional aspects of one of company's the largest market areas in Central and South Center Los Angeles. In his next role, Luthi served as Marketing Manager for Papel Freelance, a manufacturer and distributor of giftware products. After Papel Freelance's acquisition by Russ Berry, Luthi joined the Valley Economic Development Center as a Management Consultant providing business services to business throughout Southern California. During this time, Luthi also served business owners in the Los Angeles area adversely effected by the Los Angeles riots. Upon the expiration of his employment contract, he then join EDU-TECH Industries as Project Manager working closely with notable clients such as Honda, Toyo Tires, Unocal

Education

Luthi has a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from California State University, Los Angeles
