No, wait, scratch that: language is the battlefield, and history is the war.

I have been hacking for my bread and rent since I was 16, when I was a pretty mean RSTS/E and VAX/VMS person. Since then I have worked at a variety of places, including over a decade as a research programmer at CMU.

I now live in Yucatan. I work via the Internet as a freelancer, mainly on applications of graphs to problems in the legal/financial domain. I have contributed only lightly to Wikipedia thusfar, but am a strong proponent of the philosophy behind it, and look forward to contributing more.
