Hello, my name is Stephen, and I've been using Wikipedia for over a year purely as a fantastic information source (as well as recommending it as often as possible to people).
I've been a member for a couple of months now, but havn't really got around to much editing yet. Hopefully that will change soon. Over the past coulple of weeks i've been reading the different editing tutorials to get myself using to the mark-up and conventions used.
Since my main interests are in music (although i've sort of lost touch with most modern stuff), sport and computer games, that's were most of my updating will take place, and maybe I'll spot an area or two that may need a new document.

Tests
[edit]Below, I've been using my page for testing
I'm going to do a bit of testing with tables now
|
According to the Table Help, if i start typing here the text should appear not in the table but to the side of it, in this case, the left hand side.
Let us see if it really works like that in my test homepage. The text might end up too close ---to the table, and there is a way around it, and i want to make it happen.
Well, does it?
Is this below the table?
here it was so preformatted text will start only after the table ended
