A month before their first day, Jang Hyuk, Jo Jae-yoon and Lee Tae-hwan learn they will be assigned to Yongsan Police Station and undergo police training. They are appointed as police officers in the station's Intellectual Crime Investigation Team, and begin with individual interviews with Team Leader Lee Dae-woo. Their first case briefing introduces a major fraud case involving counterfeit bleach products; a vicious dog abuse case that went viral online; and an illegal gambling website with ties to Korean mobsters and a Chinese online server. The newcomers learn how to distinguish counterfeit and genuine bleach, before embarking on their first field work at the scene of Hoya’s abuse in Huam-dong. | |||

The field team deduce that the dog abuse perpetrator lives near Hoya, but return without further leads. The next morning, the operation to arrest suspects "Kim" and "Bae" in the counterfeit case commences. They split into two teams to investigate locations in Incheon and Seoul. Neither team finds fake products, but Team A obtains documents that point to a seller "Jo". Meanwhile in Namyangju, Team B stakes out addresses for "Bae" and discover an occupant "Seo" who is acquainted with the 2 prime suspects as well as "Jo". With the new information, the two teams decide to regroup in Namyangju. Tracking phone signals for "Kim", Team A comb a residential area and eventually find his car. 12 hours in, both teams show up at “Kim’s” apartment with arrest warrants. A search and seizure on his car reveals cash and ledger books, prompting “Kim” to let slip that “Bae” told him he was in Pocheon. | |||

It’s almost midnight when "Kim" is brought into the station. He gives up "Bae's" truck license plate number during questioning, and is transferred to a holding cell by Jang Hyuk and Tae-hwan. At 2:30am, Team Leader Lee moves out again with the three newcomers in tow, but a lack of clues leaves them canvassing Pocheon for hours in search of "Bae's" truck. Eventually, a tip-off leads the team to finally find and arrest "Bae," who refuses to confess or cooperate. However, the team makes headway when "Kim" further reveals the factory location during questioning. The three newcomers are allowed to leave first at 9pm, after 36 hours on duty, while their mentors question the suspects late into the night. Some time later, Jae-yoon and Tae-hwan follow Team Leader Lee to uncover the factory warehouse, ending 4 years of counterfeit activity. | |||

A new day begins with Kim Min-jae joining the team. Their first task is investigating a voice phishing ring through an informant who works as a debt collector. When she receives instructions from the masterminds to meet a victim, the team stake out the meeting spot. However, the plan fails as the victim doesn't show up. Back at the station, the team turn to the dog abuse case and identify 6 prime suspects based on CCTV footage. Jang Hyuk, Jae-yoon and Tae-hwan are sent out to investigate the suspects. After simulating the perpetrator’s path to narrow the search area, the team visit the most prime suspect first. Surprisingly, he confesses on the spot and voluntarily accompanies the investigators back to the station. | |||

At the station, Jae-yoon gets a written statement from the dog abuse suspect. During questioning, the suspect struggles to watch the CCTV footage, admitting he was drunk and cannot remember his actions clearly. Jae-yoon eventually has to leave the room, unable to watch further. Meanwhile, the rest of the team crack down an unlicensed bar in Itaewon hiring foreign women as escorts. Jang Hyuk and Tae-hwan join Team Leader Lee to watch the entrance, while Min-jae and two officers enter posing as customers. During the bust, the escorts lie in order to retrieve their personal belongings, already aware they will be deported. Jae-yoon and Min-jae assist to transfer another bar server, also discovered with an expired visa, to the Immigration Office. Through the night, the celebrities struggle between sympathy and objectivity, knowing nothing can be done as the law has been broken. | |||
